Sexual urge is an inevitable feeling in human existence, but what brings about the uniqueness of an individual is the ability to control it and navigate the mind towards being disciplined and purified.
I want to believe that God has really blessed us in previous post on the subject of sex,
pleasure and pain; without doubt and with the feedback I got since we
started the series, I am convinced that truly God had really blessed us
powerfully with the series
The first journey into the
freedom land is awareness, once you are aware and have admitted that truly
there is a challenge; that awareness will help in humbling one to receive light
for deliverance via understanding that came through knowledge which is the
hallmark of deliverance. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight
to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised….1
I’ve heard many cried for
help on the subject of sexual addiction, masturbation and others, in fact I
can’t over emphasize the rate at which this demonic act is growing among all
nations of the earth and the truth is that there are certain individuals that
had positioned themselves to feed people with lies and thereby destroying them
and taking them out of the path of the just. I heard lately that there are
doctors and individuals that advice and encourage young people to masturbate
with the lie that if they don’t, they are liable to die young, experience
stomach pain or develop fibroid as a lady. It is a lie from the pit of hell.
If that is through, then
almost all saints should have died of stomach upset and pain, it is not true,
what of Apostle Paul? What of our Lord Jesus Christ in their days, they never
got married and yet they remain strong, healthy and sound.
The goal of this post is to
point out ways through which those that had been enslaved by this act of sex
out of wedlock and masturbation of any kind can be set free and saved. Lots are
tired of it, cried for help many times, prayed, gone for deliverance session
and yet found themselves going back into it.
It is not freedom as a
product of decision or determination, it is more than that, often time people
vow, decide, make promise, cried and even sow seed that they may be free from
this affliction but always found themselves in it without understanding the
cause and how they will ever be set free. Follow
the steps below and I trust God that you will get your freedom in Jesus name.

“John answered and said, A man can receive nothing,
except it be given him from heaven.”
The first thing to do is to go back to God in prayers, repent and give your
life to Christ genuinely, if yours is backsliding, repent and rededicate your
life back to Christ genuinely, then others can work for you because it is God
that will help and not men. “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying,
This is the word of the LORD
unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith
the LORD of hosts….4”
After given your life back
to Christ genuinely, with the whole of your heart, pray to God for strength and
grace to repent from your old ways because there is always a grace that can be
supplied from heaven to achieve all, no man by himself can save himself of make
himself whole except he is helped. “I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me….5” More so, we should know that by strength shall no
man prevail because. “Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into
temptation. The spirit truly is
ready, but the flesh is weak….6”
So by prayer and fasting shall you conquer flesh in order for your
spirit to take dominion over the flesh, because the bodily exercise profited
little and corruption but spiritual exercise profited much and life eternal?
2. Relate it with trusted spiritual personnel
(brother, sister, father, mother or someone etc.): This is the major reason why many are yet to be set
free, they are ashamed of this act to the point that they found no one worthy
of relating it with, and there is no way you can help yourself if God did not
grant the grace, the truth is that this acts are common among young people
today and there is every need to relate it with someone who can help out. By
relating it with some, you will be more committed, consistent and will not fall
back to your vomit after two weeks, because this has been many people
experience that they will make up their mind today and after a week, they will
go back. “I found myself doing….7”
Be guided, monitored and
encouraged, when these things are in place, you will grow out of your past and
truly old things will pass and all (you) will truly become new….8
3. Discover who you are in Christ: Many people are still confused of who they are, they
have no strong conviction, they are not fully persuaded about what they
believed and stood for, this is imbalance and it will cause more problem, it is
better that you don’t know at all than to know averagely. Give yourself continually to the
word of God which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among
them that are sanctified….9
Let it be the compass
guiding your life and day to day activities, when you study by the help of the Holy
Spirit, understanding will be birthed and before you know it, you will start
manifesting in the truth, those things of the flesh will be of little or no
importance to you any longer because the light of the word is in you. It is
when you give yourself continually to the word of truth that you can discover
you identity in Christ and your place in the heart of God, you will know better
than what anyone has ever told you about keeping yourself, making your body a
holy temple, why and the benefits accrued. This is what make great men and
women, subscribe to this truth and your life will change in no little measure
4. Separate from those things and people causing you
to fall: There are certain friends
that you should depart from, there are relationships that you must let go by
courage, there are things like movies and pictures you should make up your mind
never to see again forever. If you are the type struggling with masturbation
and yet you see porn, don’t you know you are the enemy of yourself?
I’ve counseled people on this issue and I often discover that they truly want
to be free but they are the chain bounding themselves because they are still
attached to those thing that draw and drag them back to their vomit. Do away
with them.
One of my counselee once
told me about a Christian book she read that teaches about sex and sexuality;
though it is Christian book and it teaches something great, but it is not meant
for singles, you are not married and your mind is being exposed to all manners
of sexual experiences via study. Tell me after reading the book, what else? Urge to
have practical experience will follow and if there is nothing to
satisfy the urge due to the fact that you are still single and not married, it
will result to masturbation. Sit down to check everything that are the cause of
your vulnerability and make up your mind to do away with them. Pray for grace
and take action immediately.
I remember years ago that I
lived in this wrong ideology that until my wife to be is pregnant, I will not
proceed to marriage, so that I will be sure that she can truly produce
but as growth began to occur, I realized that the ideology is devilish and I
pray for grace to do away with them. By doing so I was humble enough to search
for the truth, I accepted it, received it and followed all it teaches because
the truth by Himself says I shall know the truth and it shall set me free and
indeed I gained my freedom, you can also be like me
For anyone who ever wish,
dreamt and envisage being great in life and enjoying marital bliss must be
ready to do away with certain ego, wrong knowledge and ideologies, be ready to
learn and be changed by the truth. If you don’t learn, you will think you know
best and destruction will be inevitable
It was when I started
learning and knew the truth that God granted me grace, that I started realizing
my level of foolishness and ignorance. Imagine me deploying plans as a single on
how I will punish my wife if she misbehave, I wasn’t deploying plans and
designing systems of showing her genuine love and making her enjoy the home but
how to discipline and punish her.
Imagine what the innocent
lady would have faced assuming I wasn’t privileged to be changed by the truth,
even when she did nothing, I will still find fault because my primary intention
for marriage was to see someone I can punish and discipline. Imagine !!!
Intentionally work on the following
1 Your love for the father,
His kingdom and His people
2 Your passion and love for
the Holy Spirit
3 Placing value on your
person, integrity and NAKEDNESS: It is not everyone that should be entitled to
see your nakedness, remember what “And they were both naked, the man and his
wife, and were not ashamed….10). The man and his wife which means they
were married, not the guy and his girlfriend, not the lady and the boyfriend,
not even the fiancé or fiancée, place value on your nakedness
Some people are so weak and
gullible to the extent that anyone can touch their boobs, buttocks and others
and all they will do is to smile and say I don’t like it. you like it, if not
you wouldn’t have allow that at all. Make integrity part of your core values.
