Question from members of our community and will be briefly addressed

This cannot and should not be generalized because different relationships with different individuals and different approach in dealings, therefore; no doctrine should be built around this. What will work for me may not work for you. In one of our group on the Whatsapp community, a man gave instance that he is the one who always call and text the partner every morning, that’s very good and romantic but doesn’t make it’s a yardstick to call it men’s responsibility, it should be mutual.

Everyone should be very understanding and wise enough to know that communication is the heart of every relationship and it should not be one sided, else, the heart will lose blood flow in its normal range. If every individual regardless the gender can make the act of effective communication a responsibility as a result of understanding, knowing so well that both should be committed to making communication worthwhile, then it won’t cause any issue because understanding is the mother of maturity and manifestation.

My short advice will quickly be targeted towards two different bodies/groups, first to those who are in relationship/married and secondly to those who are single but hoping on God and envisaging their God ordain and an enviable partner 

To those in relationship or married

If you’ve noticed or discovered a one sided act of communication in your relationship/marriage, don’t nag on it, don’t ignore either, but rather apply wisdom by letting your partner know that once the communication commitment is one sided, it will get you bored and tired, there is nothing like a reciprocated love, sacrifice and commitment, it bring about a strong intimacy and encouragement to do more. So make it known by understanding, you know your partner and you should know how to communicate it better for mutual understanding and productivity

To the singles

You still have upper hand because he or she is not here yet or probably around the corner or in prospect. That is why it is very important for everyone called single to prepare not just for marriage, but for the so called dating and courtship season to come because it is seldom to happen that there won’t be communication issues. You should know that after few weeks of launching the relationship, communication issues with one sided commitment will/may set in and this must be well discussed from the onset and let it be in your mind that this should not cause issues later and thereby work on it as soon as possible.

Finally, love is a DECISION as I’ve always said; if you had ever made the decision to love someone and indeed you do, you will do all your best to make such person happy. I’ve once being there and I know what it feels like. Commitment should be mutual and not with force or cruelty but pure, natural and from ones heart.
